eBay seller tools & guides
eBay charges most of its fees as a percentage of the total sale, including shipping and sales tax, and the rate depends on the category. On top of that come a per-order fee, international fees, Promoted Listings and, for UK business sellers, a regulatory fee and VAT.
2026 brought big changes outside the US: UK private sellers pay no final value fee on domestic sales, and Australian sellers with up to A$25,000 a year in sales can sell for free. The calculator and guides below include these rules for the US, UK, Canada and Australia.

Per-order fee: £0.30 (orders £10.00 or less), otherwise £0.40. Regulatory operating fee: 0.35%. International fee: 1.05% (Eurozone & Northern Europe), 1.8% (US & Canada), 2% (All other countries). Business-seller fees are shown excluding VAT (eBay adds 20% VAT; VAT-registered sellers can usually reclaim it). Private sellers pay no final value fee or regulatory fee, only 3% when the buyer is outside the UK.

Pro plans charge 2.5–2.75% on the part of a sale above A$4,000.00. Overseas deliveries: 3%. All Australian eBay fees include GST. Sellers with A$25,000 or less in sales over 12 months and no Pro plan pay no final value fee (3% applies to overseas deliveries). Above that, the Pro Starter plan applies by default.
