Ray Stevens recovering in Nashville after heart attack

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Country singer, comedian and entertainer Ray Stevens is recovering after suffering a heart attack in Nashville.

According to Stevens’ social media, the 86-year-old country star underwent minimally-invasive heart surgery Tuesday morning in Nashville.

Stevens’ initial surgery was a success and he is now recovering. His performances at his CabaRay showroom in Bellevue are cancelled through July 2025.

He was reportedly admitted to the hospital last Friday after he complained of chest pains. After a catheterization procedure, doctors determined he’d suffered a mild heart attack. As of Wednesday afternoon, he has been released from the Intensive Care Unit and has taken steps around hospital hallways with assistance from a nurse.Neighborhood News: Stories impacting your community | Read More
